Serrania Avenue Elementary is our wonderful little neighborhood school located south of Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills, California. We are a dynamic and diverse community in the southwest San Fernando Valley and are blessed with brilliant teachers and strong leadership. We have a successful SAS program in addition to the standards based curriculum and as a result of our active parent group, we offer an enriched curriculum to all our students. We are very proud of school and our many accomplishments to date, but are even more excited about the future of our school.

Jan 27th - Can You Spell It Spell-a-thon!
Get your pledge sheets in ASAP! They are due the week of January 30th! There are lots and lots of prizes to be won! Every student that raises $25 in pledges will win a "Bucket of Slime"! Every student that raises $100 will get an "Angry Bird Toy"! The student that raises the most money gets a "$150 Westfield Mall Gift Card" and the class that raises the most will win a "Pizza Party and a $25 gift card for their teacher!"

Don't Cook Dinner - Grab a blanket and come join other Serrania students and families to see Kung Fu Panda 2 in the school auditorium! Pizza and snacks will be available for purchase.

Kids Holiday Gift Shop is BACK!
Back by popular demand the Kids Holiday Gift Shop will be open for the Valentine Holiday! We had so much great feedback from the students and parents that we are bringing this "fun" fundraiser back! Instead of giving candy to your kids as a valenting gift, why not give them a few dollars to pick out something fun at the Gift Shop? There will be items for the family and lots of items for the kids. The shop will be open during break, lunch and afterschool on February 13th and 14th. We will be open for walk throughs on Friday, February 10th.

Clip, Snip, Cut and Save Labels to Raise $$$ For Serrania!
Wow! We got another $325 from Box Tops!
Collect and turn in Box Tops, Labels for Education UPC codes, and whole Tyson A+ product flaps. Put the labels in a plastic bag with the child(ren)'s first & last name(s) and room number(s). Put the bag into the red box in the office. Each month students earn prizes. No need to sort by child. Each child in a family receives full points.
In September, the first 50 students to turn in 25 labels earn a popsicle.

All current Breakfast and Lunch Menus as well as nutritional info are now available online. Look for the month you need under the Elementary Schools heading.

Access Your Child's enVision Math Curriculum
Now all parents and students from Kindergarten through 5th grade can access enVision math curriculum online. Once registered (see directions below), you can view the entire grade level textbook online, view digital videos which are intended to strengthen conceptual understanding as well as print homework pages if a student "forgets" their homework.
If you have any questions, Mr. Garren would be happy to provide a demonstration or training to any parent that could benefit from exposure to this valuable resource.

Point deadlines are May 27th & June 20th.
Earn a pizza party! Students who reach their Grand Points by 6/20 will have pizza 6/21.
