Test Scores
Each May, students across the district in grades 2 through 5 take standardized grade level exams which are called the California Standards Test or the CST. These tests are designed to measure how well the students have learned the grade level standards. The results of these exams are a ranking for each school called the API or Academic Performance Index and results are published each August. Our score for the 05/06 year is 867, up 10 points from last year. This score puts us 3rd in the LAUSD in comparison to schools ranked as similar. We have experienced a steady increase in test scores over the last five years and are quickly approaching the 900 mark, widely considered the benchmark for elite public schools.
One of the things that we are very proud of at our school is that our kids experience true cultural diversity. We are committed to giving all of our students the best experience possible in their most formative years and have invested in programs to help each and every one of our students to excel.
