We are busy at work preparing your child for middle school and the world beyond. We are currently working on reading comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and writing skills in language arts. It is so helpful for your child if you to read with him or her every day and ask questions about what she or he has read. In math, we are currently concentrating on rounding skills, long division, and place value. You can make a big difference by reviewing multiplication facts daily with your child. Research indicates that parents need to be active team players with teachers to best educate children. Please contact me with any questions and concerns. I look forward to working with you! | | Fluency guide | | Mutiplication FactsIn order to be successful in math, it is imperative that your child knows his or her multiplication facts. The intensive fourth and fifth grade math curriculum does not allow us the time to spend on daily review of their multiplication facts. Please establish a routine of working with your child every day. Enclosed are multiplication tools to assist you. Focus on the 21 facts they need to memorize and review the multiplication rules.
We so appreciate you being part of your child’s support team. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Colette Rosario, RST | | Multiplication Aides |
